Richard Bourgeois was always the only engineering student in his creative writing classes at Boston University. He's published several technical articles on advanced power systems and holds nine patents. For a while he owned a company called Stage Mayhem and still works occasionally as a theatrical fight choreographer. 

Mr. Bourgeois is married to every author's ideal mate--a librarian. They live in Albany, NY with their two writer/illustrator/sandbox engineer children.
